The Main Issues in the Research of Sports Communication in China in the New Era GUO Qing, LI Pingping 2019, 45 (1):  1-8.  doi: 10.15942/j.jcsu.2019.01.001 Abstract ( 1372 )   PDF (1126KB) ( 1040 )   Save Using the methods of literature and content analysis, this present paper combed the main topics in sports communication research in China in the new era, aiming at having a full view of sports communication research, and predicting the direction of its future development. It is pointed out that the communication research is evolving from empiricist paradigm into postmodernism paradigm, and communication is becoming the adhesive of society in "Internet +" era. Under this background, the interdisciplinary integration of sports communication is further deepened, and the research method is more diverse, providing new ideas and methods for sports news communication research. On the basis of understanding the times and the development of the subject, this paper put forward and analyzed 8 major topics in sports communication research: (1)study of the spread of sports IP (2) study of live broadcast of network events and interpretation of sports events (3) study of e-sports (4) study of sports fans (5) study of contemporary sports international communication (6) study of national traditional sports communication (7) media sports change and social memory research (8) study of sports news communication history. With the perspective of Cultural Research, since 1980s the Cultural Turn has been a main trend in the development of sports communication research. The extended historic and social respective has been introduced into the sport field. With the rising of popular culture, more and more researchers tends to the focus on sports. The thesis elaborates the spread of the cultural turn in the sports idea change, the medium changes and the principal part change, which causes a series of change in vision feild, methods, and academic community in the study of the specific sport communication. Nevertheless, it put forward that the development of China's sports communication study uphold Chinese standpoint, world vision, intergating method and pointing to practice . Recently, with the introduction of "remodeling journalism", sports journalism should re-examine its own logical framework. Sports journalism is a generalization and refinement of the professional logic of sports journalism practice. Sports practice determines the independence of sports journalism practice. Sports practice is an "interval" space composed of athletes, patrons, spectators, and commentators, and constitutes the context of sports practice together with sports rules, sports values, and so on. From the perspective of sports news communication, sports are divided into participant sports and spectator sports. The particularity of sports practice is fed back into the practice of sports news, which is embodied in the practice of media content production around the transformation of sports symbols. The sports journalism knowledge system framework is divided into three parts: the principle of sports news content production, sports media industry, sports news and society. The definitions of sports symbolic information and sports news are the logical starting points of sports journalism knowledge system. Meanwhile, it is should be noted that the essence of the new media platform is to form a network society based on relationship, and the essence of sports journalism is the connection of various sports relations. In recent years, it has been marginalized, and is in an awkward academic status. As a result, it has been tagged as "toy department", "fig leaf" and "leaking craft". The present paper revisited through logical analysis the fundamental characteristics of sports journalism studies from the perspectives of sports journalistic professionalism, celebrity protectionism, new media and development of converged media, concluding that journalistic professionalism is an important characteristic of sports journalism research; celebrity protectionism is the focus of sports journalism research; and new media and development of converged media are the the core characteristic of sports journalism studies in the future. In the field of basic theory, industry sports law and section sports law, the research of Chinese sports law have developed the ability to find the questions, sum up the problem and finally give and argue the thesis. The research of sports law is the indiscerptible part of the construction of powerful sports nation. In the new era, the research of sports law should enlarge the issue-oriented awareness, refine the inner legal theory for sports law, deepen the care of practice of sports phenomenon, and widen the view of international research. In the field of social governance research, "soft law governance" has attracted increasing attention from academic circles and has been acknowledged in practice. How to use "soft law governance" to improve the internal governance of local sports associations and realize the modernization of governance has become an important part of sports governance research. Selecting 29 typical 4A class local sports associations in south Jiangsu, the most representative demonstration area of China's modernization construction, as investigation subjects, this article made an in-depth analysis of the governance difficulties and the reasons from the soft law perspective through the methods of questionnaire, depth interview and field investigation. This present paper compared the name, content, legal attribute, ownership and legal protection, and regulation of market in US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Span, and Portugal, and analyzed their legal and systematic response under the rapid development of information technology and communication market. Combined with the situation of professional sports broadcasting right in China, this present paper pointed out that: as a legal right, the professional sports broadcasting right has become a trend of development, and it is better to protect the right as a compound of a new type of property right and adjacent right; club is the natural owner of professional sports broadcasting right, and the league or association is the co-owner; the combination of collective sales and individual sales is a better marketing mode for professional sports broadcasting right; and the balance between public welfare and market is a factor to be considered in system design. Enlightenment derived from these include: appropriate organization scale is the premise to improve the efficiency of Olympic competition production; changing the extensive investment mode of Olympic competition is the key to improve the training benefit of reserve talents; perfect supervision and feedback mechanism is the guarantee for the efficiency of Olympic competition system; and efficient education-employment promotion system is a source of incentive to attract Olympic reserve talents. Compared with the mature practice in foreign countries, certification and award of public sports service quality in China have not started yet. UK quality scheme for sport and leisure (QUEST), which has made great contribution to the continuous improvement of UK sports and leisure quality and been widely recognized as a professional quality certification and award scheme, is worth careful analysis. In response to the future trend of "quality first" in public sports service, this present paper made an overall analysis of the QUEST Quality System through the methods of literature review and case study: in terms of development process, it has gone through the stages of initiation, modification and strategic adjustment; in terms of status, QUEST model is mainly divided into QUEST for Facilities and QUEST for Active Communities; in terms of operational process, QUEST mainly involves the stages of self-assessment, external evaluation, report analysis, periodic review and sample extension. QUEST can provide a reference for the design of public sports service quality certification and award program in China, which includes: consolidating the basis of quality management theory to ensure the strategy of "quality first"; promoting the partnership of diverse subjects to improve the certificate level and professional authority; perfecting the public sports service quality certification and award procedure to give play to the comprehensive advantage of quality management tools. Analysis on the Spatial Pattern of Equalization Level of Urban and Rural Sports Ground in China 's Provinces SONG Yaowei, ZHANG Yan, LEI Lei, ZHANG Zhisheng 2019, 45 (1):  65-72.  doi: 10.15942/j.jcsu.2019.01.010 Abstract ( 1341 )   PDF (1426KB) ( 979 )   Save the selection of China's 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) sixth national sports ground survey sports related data as the research sample, using geographical spatial econometric analysis method, the provinces in China sports ground with per capita, urban sports ground with per capita, and rural per capita sports ground with equal quantity, urban and rural sports ground level analysis of autocorrelation spatial characteristics of empirical research. The result shows: the level of equalization of urban and rural sports playgrounds in China is generally low, mainly for rural sports venues per capita is less, more than two-thirds of the province more than rural town sports venues; The Moran index which from our country sports venues of four indicators show that our country sports field of urban and rural equalization is not show random state, but has obvious spatial correlation, present spatial clustering between similar level. As Moran scatter plot, 16 provinces in the first and the third quadrant, more than 50% of the national provinces, illustrating the equal level of provincial urban and rural sports in China presents spatial positive correlation. In terms of LISA cluster diagram, equalization of urban and rural sports playgrounds in China showed the characteristics of spatial aggregation between similar levels. Related Articles | Metrics

On Sports English Translation:A Perspective from Linguistic Theories of Translation YUAN Bin 2019, 45 (1):  73-79.  doi: 10.15942/j.jcsu.2019.01.011 Abstract ( 1034 )   PDF (1115KB) ( 774 )   Save With the delimitation of sports texts under the guidance of Holmes' translatology framework, and the clarification of types and functions of sports texts based on studies of text typology by Reiss, Newmark and scholars at home, the paper explores how to use linguistic theories of translation to conduct sports English translation. The findings are: 1. Sports texts mainly cover the fields of sports news, sports education, sports marketing, sports performance, sports intelligence and sports literature; 2. Catford's (Syntactic School ) emphasis on translation equivalence, Nida's (Semantic School) stress on meaning transfer and communication in translation and Gutt's (Pragmatic School )focus on sound relevance selection and context replication during the process of translation all provide effective guidance to sports translation. The three schools are mutually complementary; 3. Linguistic theories of translation are helpful in defining sports texts and their types as well as functions so that adaptive strategies and methods can be developed in lexical, syntactic, discourse and rhetoric levels for sound translation. Research on the Theory and Practice of the Relationship between the Cultural Symbol of Sports Game and The"Life-Existence- Livelihood Education" SUN Dechao,AO Sen,ZHOU Honghong 2019, 45 (1):  80-86.  doi: 10.15942/j.jcsu.2019.01.012 Abstract ( 892 )   PDF (1139KB) ( 880 )   Save This present paper refined the connotation of "Life-Existence-Livelihood Education" and chose "football", "dancesport", and "Taijiquan" which are respectively the representative of modern Olympic collective sport, modern leisure and fashion sport and traditional Chinese to explore their cultural symbol attributes and the theory and practice on the relationship between the cultural symbol of sports game and the "life-existence-livelihood education" from the aspects of movement form, competition pattern, and management paradigm. The results showed that the realization of the function value of sports should take the body as the carrier and could only be implemented through specific sports games. The relationship between the cultural symbol of sports game and the "life-existence-livelihood education"can take the "body rebellion" as its guide and be achieved through the bidirectional circulation of the cultivation and shaping of the body. The optimization paths to realize the "life-existence-livelihood education" include: excavating sports' productivity of sports at the national level, cohesion at the group level, vitality and thoughts at the individual level to realize the deep integration of teenagers' physical health, mental health and social adaptation health, and achieve a high degree of communion between sports and social order. The Cultural Connotation and Hierarchy of "Yi" in Chinese Wushu DUAN Limei, YANG Guozhen 2019, 45 (1):  87-92.  doi: 10.15942/j.jcsu.2019.01.013 Abstract ( 953 )   PDF (1101KB) ( 739 )   Save Based on the methods of documents and dialectical logic analysis, this present paper proposed that Wushu, as a game of "Yi", is the relational existence of the attack-and-defense contradiction, and is manifested as the human-environment relationship (including instruments, topography, etc.), thus building up the "Shen"-"Yi"-"Qi" hierarchical narrative pattern, in which the primary level of "Yi" ensures the harmony of the body, the intermediate level of "Yi" motivates the spirit in critical state, and the senior level of "Yi" perfects moral cultivation as well as the aesthetic body gestures of "regular, running, drunk, soft, powerful, unique". Interpreting the cultural connotation and hierarchy of "Yi" in Wushu helps people to understand the Wushu culture, promoting the practitioners to develop self-care through the harmonious connection with all creatures. The Comparative Research on Physical Activity Guidelines for Children and Adolescents: An International Perspective GUO Qiang, WANG Xiaozan 2019, 45 (1):  98-104.  doi: 10.15942/j.jcsu.2019.01.015 Abstract ( 1174 )   PDF (1118KB) ( 937 )   Save This study made a horizontal comparison of the physical activity guidelines for children and adolescents among 10 countries and regions from North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, and examined the development trend and regular pattern of recommended physical activity levels. By further clarifying the health benefits of physical activity, this study summarized the 3 prominent features of current physical activity guideline: caring about the general requirements for physical activities from moderate to intense level, stressing the types of physical activity of bone and muscular strength, while lacking assessment and monitoring methods on physical activity. These physical activity guidelines suggest the right orientation for the activity of children and adolescents, and help them to deeply understand the benefits of physical activity. Research shows that the amount of research publications has been increasing year by year, with countries from Europe and America such as the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Canada having been taking a lead in research orientation. International scientific research cooperation with comparative advantage in information, resource acquisition and sharing among research institutions is gaining momentum Physical activity research for children and adolescents has attracted a stable group of prominent authors, and the amount of outcome can no longer be used as the only indicator to measure the academic contribution of relevant researchers. Publications in Medical and sociological magazines such as Medicine and Exercise Science have high reference value for international physical activity research for children and adolescents. References of the publications are mainly related to rehabilitation medicine, ecology, and psychology. The frontier hots-pots in recent 30 years involve the systematic evaluation of physical activity level and pattern, and physical and mental health promotion, the constraints of children and adolescents' physical activity participation, the relationship of physical activity and sedentary time to cardiovascular diseases, overweight and obesity, the internal correlation of obesity, as well as physical activity measurement and evaluation. Using methods of literature review, Delphi method, questionnaire survey, and statistical analysis, this present paper analyzed the constraint factors on the establishment of the CBA professional league, and put forward the implementing strategy. Research shows that the factors constraining CBA professional league include management system, professionalism level, legal system, personnel, property, culture, and concept, with their weights being 0.278, 0.180 0.156, 0.121, 0.105, 0.095, 0.065 respectively. FIFA 11+ is a comprehensive warm-up exercise designed based on the characteristics of soccer, including Part A (basic running exercise combined with dynamic pulling), Part B (strength, enhanced training, balance exercise), Part C (high-level running exercise). The aim of FIFA 11+ is to improve the warm-up effect and prevent sports injuries. A review of literature shows that although the effect of FIFA 11+ varies according to different populations, it is still highly valid in injury prevention. This present paper makes a general review of FIFA 11+, the validity of FIFA 11+ in injury prevention and the mechanism of FIFA 11+ in sports injury prevention. It also describes the mechanism of FIFA 11+ in sports injury prevention from the aspects of cardiovascular and respiratory function, lower limb muscle strength, proprioceptive function, core stability and sensitive quality. The function of FIFA 11+ in soccer injury prevetion and physical function improvement has not been widely recognized in the scientific field, while with the deepening of research, its application in sports injury prevention plans will have wide prospect.
