Abstract: Using the methods of literature review and logical analysis, this paper analyzes the models, mechanisms and paths of reference for physical education curriculum reform. The study points out that the implementation models of reference for PE curriculum reform mainly include the cultural conservatism model, the realistic reformism model, and the Marxist Chinese model; the operation mechanisms of reference for PE curriculum reform mainly consist of the input mechanism of urban-rural coordination, the guidance mechanism of multi-participants, the reasonable and effective review mechanism, and the evaluation mechanism based on localization. It is proposed that: breaking the constraint of teaching viewpoints and strengthening the innovative advantages of local teaching; reducing the shock of the pendulum phenomenon and strengthening the theoretical construction of physical education curriculum; expanding the limitations of curriculum theory and enriching the overall effectiveness of theoretical innovation.
