Abstract: Facing the new problems in the research of sports news communication and the new challenges in the education of sports news communication, 21 experts and scholars from 15 universities, research institutions and industries at home and abroad attended the 5th International Conference on Sports Communication in Chengdu Sports Institute in November 2019. This paper gives a summary of the five themes of the conference: “new pattern of China's sports news communication industry”, “historical memory and sports culture in the internet era”, “change and development of Olympic communication and marketing”, “sports news ethics, conflicts and new trends under the media integration”, and “sports news communication education and sports communication professionalism”.
