Abstract: Research on sports for the disabled has become a relatively independent research field in China's physical education research. Judging from the research results on sports for the disabled, the research awareness is yet to be improved, the perception on the research particularity needs to be deepened, and the research space needs to be expanded. In the new era, the research on sports for the disabled should follow the transformation of the main social contradictions and the trend of global development to put emphasis on the cognition of the generic, moral, social, and sports nature of the problems, thus forming a cognitive system with clear academic orientation.
