The Main Issues in the Research of Sports Communication in China in the New Era

Abstract: Using the methods of literature and content analysis, this present paper combed the main topics in sports communication research in China in the new era, aiming at having a full view of sports communication research, and predicting the direction of its future development. It is pointed out that the communication research is evolving from empiricist paradigm into postmodernism paradigm, and communication is becoming the adhesive of society in "Internet +" era. Under this background, the interdisciplinary integration of sports communication is further deepened, and the research method is more diverse, providing new ideas and methods for sports news communication research. On the basis of understanding the times and the development of the subject, this paper put forward and analyzed 8 major topics in sports communication research: (1)study of the spread of sports IP (2) study of live broadcast of network events and interpretation of sports events (3) study of e-sports (4) study of sports fans (5) study of contemporary sports international communication (6) study of national traditional sports communication (7) media sports change and social memory research (8) study of sports news communication history.
