Abstract: Through the literature material law, questionnaire and expert interview method, this paper researches the survival plight and thinking mode of basketball in Sichuan municipal amateur sports schools, believing that the poor players’ source and employment, lacking incentive mechanism of coaches and funds and funds are the main causes of their survival plight. This paper comes up with that Sichuan municipal sports schools should be girded by project development , integrate the resources as the breakthrough, emphasize excellent coach team and broaden the financing channels so as to improve the development of Sichuan municipal amateur sports schools.
