Abstract: In China's sports filed, the whole-nation system of sports, as a conventional concept, is seen everywhere and the related concepts and definitions keep emerging endlessly, but there has always been dispute over its connotation and denotation. The paper analyzes the understanding of and the attitude to the whole-nation system by clarifying the related concepts of the system and exploring its historical sources from different perspectives. The paper comes up with the views and the corresponding suggestions about the system and the dispute over it from eight aspects.
