Abstract: The reform of P.E. curriculum and teaching is supported by the corresponding knowledge views. Concept about knowledge is the foundation of the PE curricular reform. By analyzing the two knowledge views of subjectivism and objectivism, the paper, based on the reform of P.E. curriculum and teaching since the founding of new China, believes that the P.E. curriculum was directed by the knowledge view of objectivism from 1949 to 2000, with the emphasis being put on the three centers of "textbooks, teachers and classrooms", and the focus, on the impartment of "three fundamentals". Since 2001, the knowledge view of subjectivism has aroused more and more attention, the result of which is that the priority of P.E. curriculum begins to transfer from "teachers' instruction" to "students' learning", with the individual development of each student as the ultimate purpose. The two views do not repel each other and both have reasonable elements, so the reform of P.E. curriculum should absorb their quintessence avoid hypercorrection.
