Abstract: This paper analyzes the results of Men's 10 meter platform diving at the London Olympic Games by using the method of Multi-Faceted Rasch Model. The results indicate that there are differences between the ranks of athletes' ability and the result of Olympic Games. The athletes' forms are unstable during competitions. The referees abide by the same judging standards but they are subject to inaccuracy in some grading levels. There is a certain gap between the difficulty degree and that of the Rasch analysis. The data from Rasch analysis can provide references for the selection of referees, rule amendment and athletes' preparation for competitions.

Key words: mufti-faceted Rasch Model, item response theory, diving, subjective assessment
