Abstract: Psychological test is conducted to 34 elite male boxers in China with the result indicating that there is significant correlation between the boxers’ neurotic dimensions of personality and their performance (p < 0.05). No significant correlation is found between their volitional quality and performance(p > 0.05). The total scores of the boxers’ active work in their mental tenacity, pressure resistance dimension and mental tenacity indicate a significant correlation with their performance (p < 0.05), among which the total scores of the pressure resistance, pain endurance and mental tenacity have significant prediction effect of their sports performances(p < 0.05).
