Abstract: Through analyzing and comparing the creative academic publications, research programs, dissertations and periodical papers, which are representative of foreign sports history studies in China during the period from 2011 to 2015, this paper outlines the important research findings. The findings indicate that foreign sports history research level in China has improved, while it still has some deficiencies. The author points out in the concluding part that measures need to be taken to improve talents cultivation, academic exchange and research horizon.
