Abstract: Depending on the methods of literature review, mathematical statistics and logical analysis, this paper studies the Sanda scientific research status by researching the Sanda research papers included by CNKI from1979 to 2013. The results show that the scientific research on Sanda has roughly experienced three stages, namely the initial stage, the slow development stage and the rapid development stage with unbalanced distribution of the research contents. Therefore it is suggested that the decision-making sections of all levels should attach great importance to the development of Sanda and strengthen research project approval and capital investment. We should deepen the research of the advantaged fields and strengthen the researches in s the weak fields. We should also take advantage of advanced technology and multidisciplinary cross-research methods so as to further improve the scientificness and applicability of Sanda researches.
