Abstract: The realization of China dream has to depend on a solid material and cultural foundation. Sports films can both serve as an important carrier of sports culture and promote the national fitness program so as to propel the development of sports industry, which constitutes the material foundation for the realization of China Dream. The paper analyzes the cultural function and the development strategy of sports films in contemporary China under the background of China Dream. It is of strategic significance for the development of sport film industry and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
