Development and application of CSR evaluation questionnaire for professional sports clubs in China

  • By the methods of literature review, investigation and mathematical statistics, the evaluation questionnaire of corporate social responsibility for professional sports clubs in China is developed. After item analysis and exploratory factor analysis of initial questionnaire, an evaluation questionnaire composed of 31 items in 6 dimensions: guarantee the labor rights and interests of the club (F1), improve the com petition products and service quality (F2), actively participate in community construction (F3), advocate the sports spirit of fairness and justice (F4), promote the sustainable development of the club (F5) and optimize the governance system of the club (F6) was established. The results of confirmatory factor analysis showed that there is a good fit between the hypothesis structure model and the sample data. The results of applied research showed that among the 16 clubs in the Chinese Super League (CSL) in 2019, the clubs with excellent performance in social responsibility are Shandong Taishan Football Club and Shanghai SIPG Football Club. The Shandong Taishan Football Club is relatively outstanding in advocating the sports spirit of fairness and justice, the Shanghai SIPG Football Club has an advantage in guaranteeing the the labor rights and interests of the club, improving the competition products and service quality, and actively participating in community construction. Exploring the corporate social responsibility governance mode of CSL clubs, building the corporate social responsibility brand of CSL clubs and enhancing the self hematopoietic function of CSL clubs can not only improve the social responsibility governance effect of CSL, but also help to perfect the current multiple dilemma of CSL governance.
