Abstract: With the implementation of reform policy of higher education in China, the positioning and development concepts of sports universities have been adjusted correspondingly. The paper, by reviewing the features and original intentions of China’s sports universities, analyzes the operation features, concepts and development ideas of sports universities so as to explore the problems in the operation of sports universities and to come up with the corresponding strategies for sustainable development.
