Abstract: Using the method of literature metrology, the author conducts statistics and quantitative analyses of the 526 papers in mainland China included in the three reference databases of WOS in terms of the literature quantity, authors, institutions, source periodicals and quoted passages, which casts light on mainland China’s sports scientific research production, core journals, core staff, core institutions, main research field and international influence. It will help mainland researchers understand the present situation, strength and internationalization degree of mainland sports scientific researches.
