Research Progress in Prefrontal Cortex Mechanism and Exercise Intervention in the Neurodegenerative Diseases

  • Various types of people are increasingly troubled by neurodegenerative diseases. The researches of these diseases in pathogenesis and in neurobiology have become more and more in-depth. The prefrontal cortex (PFC), an important brain area, is closely related to mental activities such as language thinking and emotions, and its relevance to various neurodegenerative diseases is gaining more and more attention. The research of mechanism on the prefrontal cortex and related areas is increasingly going deeper along with the development of molecular biology and imaging. Treatment and adjunctive treatment methods are constantly being explored, and non-pharmacological treatment measures, such as exercise interventions, have received increasing attention. This article intends to review the research progress in this area.
