Abstract: At present,Chinese sports’ industrial clustering ability,sci-tech input and vertical division remain at a low level and transnational corporations’ lock of low industrial chains urges an industry chain integration and structure upgrading. From the perspective of global value chain,sports industry upgrading capacity,the paper constructs an evaluation model to analyze sports industry’s upgrading capacity and upgrading performance. The research shows that sports industry upgrading capacity of one area is closely related to the industrial resources input in this area,while regional sports industry upgrading performance is mainly affected by industrial structure and resource use efficiency.
