Chengdu Sport University was firstly known as Sichuan Provincial School of Physical Education, which was founded in 1942. In its 80years of history full of hardships and achievements, the university has forged the distinctive characteristics of “taking sports as the basis, promoting the integration of sports and medicine, making sports and literature interpenetrated, and developing sports and arts in a parallel way”, and has become an institution of higher physical education with wide influence at home and abroad.
