Abstract:
Taking the esports players in the US and China as subjects, this present paper attempts to explore through questionnaire the difference in motivation and self-esteem between different game forms, different genders and different countries.The results show that computer game players have lower self-esteem than mobile phone and host game players; male and female players don't differ in game self-esteem; mobile game players have the lowest motivation score; Chinese and American game players have significant difference in non-motivation factors and external adjustment factors, while they have don't have any difference in intrinsic motivation factors, integration adjustment factors, approval adjustments, and intake adjustments.
