Body Awareness: the Thinking Motivation for Physical Education Development in Europe in the 17th and 18th Centuries

摘要: 17、18世纪,对现代体育思想具有重要影响的欧洲体育思想理念逐步成型,体育运动发展也已基本具备了现代体育的特征。文章运用文献资料研究方法和逻辑分析方法,将“身体的觉醒”作为17、18世纪欧洲体育发展的认识论基础和思想动力进行研究,从17、18世纪欧洲体育发展的宏阔背景,17、18世纪欧洲的身体觉醒,思想史意义上的身体启蒙几个层面对这一时期欧洲体育发展与思想家们身体观念变革的内在逻辑进行了详细分析,并进而探讨欧洲体育发展进程中身体觉醒的实践。身体觉醒作为体育发展的根本思想动力,对这一时期欧洲体育发展的影响长久而深远。本研究通过探究17、18世纪欧洲体育发展的思想动力,试图从思想史意义对现代体育的发展轨迹进行深入研究,从而实现对欧洲体育发展的历史建构。

Abstract: European ideology of physical education, which has great influence on modern physical education thoughts, gradually formed in the 17th and 18th centuries, and sports at the time had already had the basic characteristics of modern sports. The present paper, using the methods of literature review and logic analysis and taking “the awakening of body” as the epistemological basis of and the thinking motivation for the development of physical education in Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries, makes a detailed analysis of the logical connection between the development of physical education ideology and the changes in body concepts in Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries with reference to the broad background of physical education and body awareness in Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries, and body enlightenment in the historical sense. The paper then explores the practice of body awareness in physical education in Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries. Body awareness, as the fundamental thinking motivation for the development of physical education, has everlasting and profound influence on the development of physical education in Europe in this period. The exploration of the thinking motivation for physical education development in Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries can help construct the history of physical education development in Europe.
