Abstract:
The International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) was used to investigate the physical activity of 1039 university students and high school students in Macau SAR. Results showed that school study activity and traffic activity were the major physical activities of the research participants; leisure-time physical activity and physical activity at moderate-level or above were significantly insufficient among this group of participants; in terms of METs and high intensity physical activities, there was higher proportion of high school students than university students. IPAQ (qualitative) standards might over-estimate the physical activity level of adolescents.
